Catalogs have been a big part of our work, we handle all photography when needed and develop diagrams, logos and other Intellectual Property as needed and we even offer direct contact with various printing companies. Our catalogs are through, including in some cases a page number/part number reference in addition to other features that make the user experience easy. Two of the three catalogs shown here also had separate Dealer to Retail price lists that were separate documents and all data within had to match seamlessly to the catalogs. These solutions can be delivered online, via PDF and DVD and in print.
Below are some examples from our body of work in Catalogs. Click the image to view the document as a PDF file.
19 page excerpt of original 120 page document
This and the next catalog were produced simultaneously for the same company. This version included full retail prices and was designed to fit in your back pocket making it easy to carry at a trade show. It measures exactly half the width of its full-size counterpart below, 4.25" x 11". Once this catalog was in production, the company realized they would need a dealer version, something large enough for a catalog rack and lacking all retail prices. Both catalogs feature Table of Contents, Page Number/Part Number reference and a complete Index, which led to some very complicated record keeping during production. ALL photography, photo editing, copywriting and IP creation (with exception of the cover logo, the Rick Doss caricature and any vendor-supplied artwork) were done by us. The sample provided here was shortened to 19 pages as the original document was 120 pages long, the narrow pages are shown as a spread in the PDF.
22 page excerpt of original 80 page document
This is the full size version of the catalog shown above. What took 120 pages in the half-sized version took 80 pages in this document. Retail pricing was removed to allow for a longer shelf life and because it would be used in conjunction with a Dealer price list. ALL photography, photo editing, copywriting and IP creation (with exception of the cover logo, the Rick Doss caricature and any vendor-supplied artwork) were done by us. The sample provided here was shortened to 22 pages as the original document was 80 pages long.
39 page excerpt of original 92 page document
This catalog was a classic example of micromanagement by the client. Originally we had creative freedom on the entire project, however as time went on, more of the client's associates became experts and ended up suggesting, then forcing changes to the design which ruined the finished product (the ridiculous blue page background being the primary offender). The client chose a printer who completely botched the job, but fortunately that issue is not present in the digital file shown here. A complete Dealer price list was also created to accompany this catalog. ALL photography, photo editing, copywriting and IP creation were done by us. The sample provided here was shortened to 39 pages as the original document was 92 pages long.
